Leaflet Research

These two leaflets or maps caught my eye as i really liked the style in which they had both been done in. The top one has in the background of the leaflet an old classic looking map, with roads and a few main building and land marks on, and then on top of this map you have these images that have been created to look like stamps with more modern looking pictograms on them, showing you various different things you can do.
Then the bottom one which is a very basic map of New York, was very interesting to me as i love the 3D aspect of it, almost like viewing it from a helicopter. But the simplistic streets and main landmarks that are depicted by clean simple pictograms works brilliantly.

The simplistic style in which this image had been created is something that i find very interesting, i love the use of colour and cartoon like direction that the designer has gone down.  The circle works well because it brings the image to life and gives a sort of 3D effect to the page.

This design although very different to the above image, is one i like very much and i love the smart clean design that the designer has created. I love the way the images are in triangles and fit together in a sort of jigsaw puzzle. It is a very modern design, and this is not something you would necessarily mix with the outdoors, but it works fantastic in this particular design.
